Week 39 6/30/2014

Hello!!! well this week was another great week and i know i start off with that a lot but it really was i had a pretty great study this morning that just hit me like a ton of bricks! i will tell you more about it later

this week was great we were able to go to family home evening with our investigator who is 12 years old and reminds me so much of anna! she even kinda looks like her it really is scary how much she reminds me of anna! makes me miss anna so much! and of course all my other nieces!:)
this week sister taukei and i were able to spend the whole week together that wont ever happen again this transfer because we will be going on exchanges the rest of the transfer! we really have gotten to know each other so much and i just love her we are able to be out complete selves around each other! ūüôā this week we had a four hour finding day and we were able to find 2 new investigators one which a is family! we were able to teach them the restoration and get a return appointment! wahooooo!!!! i love seeing miracles i just feel like i have been out here my appreciation and awareness that miracle are happening all the time has just grown sooo much!
this week my focus was to get to know the members better! i guess you could say that that is really my way of doing missionary work! I love being bale to walk in on sunday knowing and really knowing the members. we have such amazing people in the church and so many of them have amazing convert stories and just all around great stories! for example sister mP1030731[1]andarin she is from a small island by Madagascar and she has lived here for just a couple years she first came over here by herself leaving her kids who’s father died back on their island with her mom. during this time that she was apart from her kids she found out she had breast cancer and every time she would Skype she would never show any form of weakness because she didnt want to stress or worry her kids to thinking they would lose their mom as well! now that her kids are over here living with her her son is serving in london south mission and her daughter is strong in the church also wanting to serve a mission! she has had so many trials in her life. her health being the main one. she was diagnosed with diabetes while going through all the treatments that P1030736[1]she has to go through with her cancer! she was telling us that every second of every day her body aches. but she somehow minds the strength to go to work every day to clean the airport! this woman is a pure example of amazing! her story just touched my heart so much and i just have so much love for her, i wouldnt have known any of this if we didnt first decided we wanted to get to know the members!
this morning for my personal study i was reading in alma 41 and at the end of alma verse 14 and 15 says

14 Therefore, my son, see that you are merciful unto your brethren; deal justly, judge righteously, and do good continually; and if ye do all these things then shall ye receive your reward; yea, ye shall have mercy restored unto you again; ye shall have justice restored unto you again; ye shall have a righteous judgment restored unto you again; and ye shall have good rewarded unto you again.
15 For that which ye do send out shall return unto you again,and be restored; therefore, the word restoration more fuly condemneth the sinner, and justifieth him not at all.

the one thing that stood out to me the most was in verse 14 where is says judge righteously. to be honest i dont always judge righteously i admit that i will take a look at someone and size them up. leslie also had this great lesson whack her like a ton of bricks and while i was reading her email this morning i just thought on how great it was that we were both having the same lesson she says it so well so i am just going to have you all read what she says

¬†Its my job to show them love, compassion, and help them get to where we all want to go. I need to uplift, encourage, and befriend. So thats what I’m going to try to do. I’m going to try to be better, and be filled with Christ’s love, so that I may be able to see others the way Christ does. Because really, we all have the same goal, and thats to return to our Father in Heaven. We are all on the same team, and yet I’ve been playing like we are all rivals. Judging, criticizing, condemning.”
Its great the lessons we learn and i am so thankful for all of you and the great example you are to me!!! i love you and miss ya so much!
